    I like this!!! I think it is great, no more hunting for the paper to find out what is playing . I also appreciate that there is a short description of the movie playing and the next one coming. Thank you.

      Great website. It does need to indicate the rating of the moving on the front page that comes up. We’re glad you’re here!

    Very nice website. Very clean without a lot of clutter or pop up ads. Love seeing the schedule of future movies just in case I am in your town!

    Welcome Amy, Casey and little Lla, How excited we were to learn the Strand would remain open. Thanks for your interest in our little town. I grew up with the Strand and continue bringing my grandchildren to see movies there also. Because of their young age and school would you be able to add if there would be a matinee to the younger set movies? Best of luck with your new business.

      Hi Lorraine –

      We definitely will add that information to the website. We had three matinees for Rango and did post that information on here. We plan on running matinees for all kids’ movies on Saturday and Sunday, but we will always place the special times and dates on the site. We’re really enjoying The Strand and hope it continues to thrive. Thanks for your business!

    I’m really glad there is finally a website for the Strand. It’s so much easier to look online than to hunt around the house for the paper =P Good luck to the new owners. I really like how soon the movies are available after the release date, and staying in town is much better than driving all the way to Kalamazoo. I’d rather spend money in the community I live in.

    I’m so sorry this happened to you!!!! It should have been on the answering machine – that was a total oversight on our part. I thought I posted it on the website, but it only showed up on the ‘Schedule’ page, not the ‘Home’ page.     My fiance and I think that this is great..We think it would be awesome if you added new showing time during the day..We think Noon would be great..That’s if you are really thinking about adding new times..Love the website

    Nice and clean site, glad to be able to pull it up.
    Please add a link or “LIKE” button for Facebook.
    Also add your website to your Facebook page. This site doesn’t come up in a Google search, so I tried Facebook but couldn’t find a link.
    I’ve been a happy customer through many owners. So glad you are keeping the tradition going.

      Thanks for your comment. I forwarded your email to the person who does our web administration to see if he can make all of this happen. I am not at all computer savvy – I update the webpage using the directions that were provided to me and that’s about the extent of my talent in this regard.       Hi Kim –

      There is a link and a “Like” button for Facebook. It is on the bottom
      right of the home page.

      The site will come up in a google search for some terms but not all.
      If you just type in “The Strand” then it won’t come up because there
      are so many theaters with the same name. If I type in “The Strand Paw
      Paw” then it shows on the first page. We can do a little bit of work
      to improve the search engine performance, but its a bit of a black
      magic.

    Love the Strand…At our house the saying is “If it isn’t playing at the Strand then we don’t see it!” Thank you for the website. One suggestion: a simple list that I can print out, similar to whats in the paper, and post on my fridge.

    Have you considered adding some child-friendly matinees to your weekly schedule during summer vacation? I have friends & family who live in Allegan, and I know the Regent Theatre shows a different family-oriented movie every week & I would love a similar option here.

      Hi Kristen –

      We have thought about that option, but we’ve been told that it would be difficult to run two movies at the same time. We would certainly be open to running matinees during the week when we are featuring a kid’s movie though. Watch our website for updated movie times!

    Love the name and the prices of your movies, great service and close to home. You also show newer movies than prev. owners which is great but one thing id like to see also is a early show atleast on the weekends if poss… thanks your friends, the strands.

    I am so happy that The Strand Theater continues to provide excellent movies at exceptional prices. And I am really happy that you bought it and kept it going as a theater and didn’t change it to something else. I have been going to the Strand fairly regularly for the past 20 years. I love that you have started getting movies so quickly after they come out at the other more expensive theaters. It is well worth the wait to see them at the Strand. It is also awesome that you have a website so I can easily check what’s playing each week.

    Love the look of the website and glad to see you’ve upgraded the movie quality. I am a little confused about the “schedule” page. It doesn’t show the movie times.

      Thank you – we always love feedback – especially when it’s positive! The schedule page shows the movies we expect to get and the order we hope to get them in. Nothing is set in stone though until I post a date by it. The homepage lists our show times, but basically we show the movie at 7pm every night. There are 3pm matinees Saturday and Sunday for all animated features. Thanks again for your comments!!

      Movie times are at 7pm every day. Doors open at 6:30. If we add any extra showings, I always put that on the front page.

      Thanks for your comment! Please stand by – we’re working on adding a new tab right now. Currently popcorn is $3/small, $4/medium, $5/large. Soda is $2.50/small, $3/medium, $3.50/large. Normal size candy bars are $1/each and large bags of candy are $2.50. Water bottles are $1/each. We offer a Strand Combo which is 1 medium popcorn, 2 medium sodas and 2 $1/candy bars for $10. If you purchase 5 Strand Combos, you get 10 free movie tickets. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
